here i am again, writing friday's post on saturday. i always forget how busy september and october are. every year these two months seem to be chock full of birthdays and other events and some of my other tasks seem to fall by the wayside. these busy two months are commencing today with the boys' 4th birthday party, so i've been prepping for that all week. it looks like the weather is going to be pretty nice today, and the boys are excited to party with their friends, so i'm hoping that it will be a fun day :-) i plan on posting some pictures of the party in the coming weeks.

~ i'm helping to throw a baby shower for a dear friend that's going to be a floral/garden theme, and i came across these darling floral cake toppers on etsy. i think that i'm going to end up using fresh flowers for the cake but these are a pretty cute alternative.
~ i have a halloween party to go to next week and i need to pull together a halloween costume. these are some cute last minute ideas - i especially like the annie hall costume.
